Springfield Cafe Defies Odds, Opens Full-time Amid Covid-19

A Springfield cafe that was founded in March - mere days ahead of the pandemic-fueled economic shutdown - just had its grand opening.

While the restaurant industry is reeling from a drop in revenue due to COVID-19 restrictions, 413 Cafe in downtown Springfield had a ribbon cutting and official opening on Tuesday. Aug. 11.

Owner Christina Raschi expressed gratitude to the community and Springfield Mayor Domenic Sarno who attended the ribbon-cutting and presented Raschi with a proclamation wishing her continued success.

The cafe, which is also a bakery, is now holding post-COVID-19 hours: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is located at 1383 Main Street (Rear).
